Infrastructure Support for a New Aviation Sector Client

A significant portion in the development in production systems for text and data analytics is dedicated to data engineering: large volumes of data need to be retrieved from different sources, efficiently pre-processed and passed on to the processing components in the right target formats.
We are happy to support a new client from the aviation sector in this aspect with our technical expertise, beginning at the end of March. This mandate will be fulfilled in cooperation with our cooperation partner Ginkgo Analytics, with whom we are in close contact through the Software Alliance Hamburg.

Ophthalmo-AI Kick-Off

Great news: after a lengthy proposal phase extending over several years, the BMBF compound project Ophthalmo-AI, scheduled over a period of three years, has officially commenced. Ophthalmo-AI focuses on the intelligent, cooperative diagnosis and therapy support in ophthalmology. The project consortium comprises leading representatives from academia and industry: the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence, Heidelberg Engineering, Saarland University, and the eye clinics Klinik für Augenheilkunde Sulzbach and Augenzentrum am St. Franziskus-Hospital Münster.

LangTecs contribution to the endeavour is dedicated to:

  1. the provision of structured information from unstructured historical medical records, as well as their conversion to suitable features for machine learning
  2. the development of a GDPR-compliant anonymisation of personal data
  3. the technical integration of analysis results into the project framework

We are looking forward to the collaboration with this illustrious consortium!
