Text and Data Analytics for Efficient Quotation Generation in the Energy Sector

LangTec has secured a new consulting engagement! Our client (a publicly listed company in the energy sector with a work force of approximately 100,000) supplies technology for power plants, energy generation, and transmission, such as turbines, generators, and compressors. This large-scale equipment is “engineered-to-order” and features numerous base variants; consequently, a quotation must essentially be created from scratch for every order. While a software system is currently used for cost calculations, the underlying data base requires continuous maintenance.

LangTec’s solution aims to streamline the quotation process. It will facilitate AI-supported management of quotation-relevant data, enabling plausibility checks, data standardization, and predictive analysis. This will drastically reduce the workload associated with generating quotations while simultaneously ensuring a lasting improvement in their quality.
