Sometimes good ideas emerge directly from one’s own daily life. That’s how it was for us: In 2017, we needed an internal system to consolidate vacation requests, time tracking, and team coordination – and we quickly decided to develop our own tool: TeamTracker. At the time, the focus was primarily on practical applicability, less on whether and how flexibly the program could be used for other companies.
The key features
- Calendar &: Vacation Management: Vacation requests are entered directly into the calendar and approved by the responsible parties.
- Time Tracking: In addition to manually entering working hours, we have now also implemented a check-in/check-out feature.
- Team & Project Organization: Central repository for all project and team data.
- Integrated Accounting: Fully automated generation of service reports and invoices.
- Asset Management: Creation and management of company assets and loans (e.g., hardware or licenses).

Our first official client, a leading ophthalmology practice in Hamburg, was particularly interested in time tracking. For this purpose, a check-in/check-out feature was requested, which we specially added for them. Additionally, we customized the design to match the practice’s colors and logo—so the team can quickly get accustomed to it and the tool visually fits the company..
